“Little House” star Michael Landon “protects” on the spot: former child actor

Before Melora Hardin starred in the “Office”, she headed to the Prairie.

The actress started in Hollywood as a child and auditioned for “Little House of Little House” when she was 9 years old. Later, she was performed in an episode, playing Belinda, a classmate of Albert Ingles (Matthew Labyorteaux).

The 57-year-old recently launched a plot board collage wallpaper series by Melora Hardin, who has a deep memory of helping bring popular series to life. She told Fox News Digital that Michael Landon starred in the beloved patriarch Charles Ingalls and directed the series, and he was respected by the “Prairie” children.

“Michael Landon made everyone feel safe,” she recalled. “He trusted us, we trusted him. He protected us. I think that was one of the most important lessons I learned early on. [in Hollywood] – Be with someone who makes you feel safe. ”

“I’ve always said that acting and making movies and television is one of the greatest teams around,” she shared. “And I believe Michael Landon was my first example. I learned from him right away. The people you get along with make you feel safe as a fool, failing in front of the face, failing in front of the performer.”

When Harding joined the “Little House”, Harding had been “for a long time”. But Langdon was different, she shared.

“I work with people who are not as friendly as him,” Harding said. “We went to school, went to school with you, went to school with you, and it was so fun.”

Harding revealed that Langdon was “so warm” from the moment she walked on the scene.

“He’s great to work with the kids,” she said excitedly. “He really knows how to make us comfortable. He will let us do our things. He is not an intervening director. He is happy.

“He has a long relationship with the crew and he surrounds people he really trusts. So it’s seamless. He’s just happy. I never felt stressed about him. Maybe he’s [working behind the scenes]but I never felt it. He seemed to have a great time…everyone was smiling in my world. ”

Harding also immediately joined with labyorteaux, 58.

“I remember in my first audition, we had to do the flashback sequence where we danced together,” she recalled. “I was a dancer. I started dancing from 5 o’clock. I was serious about ballet. He didn’t play like Albert, but he was still young Charles [Ingalls]. We danced together and he later told me that he really wanted me to get this part because I didn’t step on his toes like other girls. ”

Harding returns to the 1983 TV movie “The Little House: A Review of Yesterday”. She plays a new role, Michele, who is Albert’s love interest. They shared the first on-screen kiss.

“We were both obsessed with each other,” she said. “It was a very sweet moment. I think it was something we both felt nervous and we both loved it. It was an eternal memory for me. We became best friends. He was the godfather of my youngest daughter. It was a wonderful and lucky moment in our lives.”

After nine seasons in 1983, “Little House on the Prairie” ended. Landon died in 1991 at the age of 54. This is an avid actor.

“I was young when he passed away, but I remember we were both sad,” she said. “…but I was so glad I was with him, and that time we shared the scenes and the creative experiences we shared. I had to witness that he was a lovely person. I will always remember him.”

Today, Harden has been busy with her wallpaper lines.

“My interest in art started with youth,” she explained. “My father was an actor and an artist. I think I was young, yes, you could be an actor, but it was also important to have some other things you were passionate about. And I was passionate about art and I always had a passion for collage. I think I was a great artist once. I tried painting. But I didn’t paint. I was excited about the way I collided.”

“When I made my first movie, I realized that collision was what you did in the editing room,” she shared. “It’s all together. I’m a songwriter, and it’s like pin-leave because you’re somehow blending words and melodies. I think that’s always who I am.”

In January, Netflix confirmed the green light to restart the classic show. The streaming giant describes it as “the adaptability of the transition.” It will feature Rebecca Sonnenshine of “Boy” and “Vampire Diaries”.

Harding thinks there should be a chance.

“There must be a place for sweet, feel-good content,” Harding said. “I remember when the new ‘Hawaiian Fifteen’ was announced. I thought, ‘I remember when I was a kid, I loved it. Can they be fair?”
