Lions forward backs Dan Campbell’s aggressive coaching style: ‘We all love it’

You may not like Dan Campbell’s coaching style, but he’s totally bought into what the Detroit Lions want.
Campbell is certainly a risk-taker, and he was bitten by that risk last year against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.
The Lions struggled on several drives late in the fourth quarter, but failed. San Francisco took full advantage and returned to the Super Bowl.

Even this year, Campbell is still the same. When it works, people rarely talk about it, but when it doesn’t, it’s a never-ending conversation.
But no matter how you feel about Campbell’s coaching, Lions forward Josh Paschall said the team has no problem with it.
“Honestly, we all love it. We love playing for him. When people think someone isn’t doing great things, I just feel like if you change that, then you lose your identity,” Paschall said recently said in an interview with Fox News Digital. “I like him a lot because he stays true to who he is, he knows who he is as a coach, as a man, and that’s not going to change.”

One thing that’s certain about Campbell, though, is that he’s a leader and the Lions will run through walls for him.
“I guarantee you, it’s going to be a speech at 8 o’clock on Monday morning and you’re going to be ready to roar,” Pascal joked. “If anyone needs motivation, just a regular guy who works a 9-to-5 job and is motivated to exercise, wake up in the morning and watch one of his speeches.”
The Lions currently lead the NFC North with a 12-2 record, so it’s hard to complain too much about Campbell since he has completely turned the franchise around.

This might be the best Lions team ever as their offense is one of the best in the league. But they do face the challenge of Sunday’s second outdoor game of the season in frigid Chicago.
