Prince Louis’ looked like his father’s double in a newly released photo for his third birthday today.

The adorable photo of the youngest son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shows him sporting a navy jumper, striped shirt and blue shorts, an ensemble very similar to that often sported by his father.  

Taken at Kesington Palace on Wednesday, shortly before Prince Louis left for his first day at the Willcocks Nursery School, the young royal looks delighted with a smart set of wheels, a backpack and a cheeky grin.    

And the look mirrors one of his fathers, which he sported during a trip to Smiths the Bakers in the High Street in King’s Lynn last year.

While three years later in 2018, William sported a similar look – a light blue shirt and navy blazer – as he joined his wife Kate Middleton on the steps of the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington to announce the birth of Louis.

Louis is following in the footsteps of Princess Charlotte, who attended Willcocks, in Kensington, before she started at school.

Children can attend the morning session, which costs £10,200 a year, and/or the afternoon session, costing £6,750 a year.

There is also a two-hour ‘lunch club’ joining the two sessions, which would cost £5,550 a year if every day was needed. The total for a child attending all the sessions would be £22,500 a year.
