Meal-preppers know how difficult it is to keep food fresh for the entire week.
Whether you’re attempting to stop salad leaves from wilting, or you’re worried about meat going off, there are many pitfalls you can fall in.
Another biggie is trying to keep bread or sandwiches tasting yummy.
But thankfully for all of us, a mum has shared a top tip for keeping sarnies “super fresh”.
On the Lunchbox Mums Facebook group, the parent reveals that she prepares finger sandwiches and immediately freezes them.
As the sarnies are cut into small rectangles, they defrost while her kids are in their morning lessons.

The mum wrote: “I’m one of those mums who freezes sandwiches because I'm time poor during the week and my kids only eat ‘boring sandwiches’ anyway.
“They de-frost super quick, so they just come out in the morning and go straight into the lunchbox.
“Unless I'm working and I do lunches the night before.”
If you’re using this easy method to meal prep for the week ahead, you can add some variety to you or your family’s lunches by changing up the fillings.
The Australian parent has some recommendations, including deli meats or hams, cheese, peanut butter and Nutella.

Another said: “Such a good idea. I never would have thought to freeze them!”
