A man has been reunited with his weathered wallet – 26 years after it went missing on a beach.
Paul Davis forgot all about the 1994 mishap, losing his cards and cash on New Year's Eve after partying with pals.
But it has now been returned to him – after it washed up very close to where he lost it!
He was sight-seeing in the start of 1995 with pals when his wallet went walkabouts.
But two decades later it turned up – and it even had the $5 note tucked safely inside when it was handed back.
It was discovered in New South Wales, Australia, earlier this week.
The wallet was found a matter of yards from where the man was when it slipped from his pocket over 25 years ago.
It still contained his credit card, medical and student cards despite swimming in the ocean for many years.
Determined to find the wallet's owner, the person who found it shared a photo on a local Facebook group.
It was soon spotted – and the hunt started.
Paul's cousin’s wife spotted the post and quickly alerted him to it as the happy ending played out.
He was reunited with it after just a few days and he knows exactly where it will go.
He plans to frame it and put it in his bar where he prays "the good luck will hopefully keep on coming".
