A boyfriend accidentally ordered a Domino’s delivery costing £177 while drunk.
The 29-year-old man had been out on the lash for a whopping 12 hours when he mistakenly made an order which contained 189 pieces of chicken.
Lee Rumney had been out with mates celebrating the birth of his six-week-old son, Freddie, in Sunderland.
Going drinking to celebrate the birth of a baby is commonly known as “wetting the baby’s head”, but it doesn’t usually run up such a large food bill.
When Lee returned home to his girlfriend, Hannah Eddon, 26, at 1am he told her that he’d placed and order with the pizza chain.
She agreed to answer the door to the delivery man but was left embarrassed when she discovered that he had ordered 19 boxes of food.

The order included 15 boxes of chicken wings, a medium pizza, garlic bread pizza and some cookies.
The bill was an enormous £177.
Hannah said: “When I answered the door the guy said there’s quite a lot here, he must be having a party.
“He told me there was at least 15 boxes of sides and I started panicking thinking ‘I hope he’s paid’ because I only had £20 cash on me.
“I had to get the delivery guy to help me bring it all into the kitchen. There was so much of it, I was so embarrassed.”
She continued: “But when I went upstairs to tell Lee his food was here, he was just completely passed out on the bed and wasn’t waking up for anything.
“I was just stood there with all these boxes and the smell of chicken wafting through the house, I was fuming.”
Lee had asked Hannah to place the order earlier that evening, but after some difficulty getting the app to work he decided to do it himself.
He sent his girlfriend a number of gobbledygook messages before the accidental order arrived.
The next morning, Lee had no memory of the mistake and was left shamefaced when he realised he had spent nearly £200 on the food.
Especially as the takeaway was now cold.
The mum said that she and Lee have seen the funny side of the debacle, but that he was now banned from ordering Domino’s again.
She also insisted he ate all the chicken over the next three days.

Hannah said: “He wasn’t texting in full English and when he came through the door he was crashing into all the doors and bouncing from wall to wall.
“But he couldn’t remember a thing in the morning.
“It’s a good job I’ve got a sense of humour and in the end he was the one who felt stupid.”
She added: “He was absolutely devastated when I told him he’d spent £177 on Domino’s.”
