Dream job alert: This company will give you free beer in return for reviews

Fancy yourself a wise critic in the varied delights of beer?

It’s time to prove yourself.

Any beer fan worth their pint(s) should know that a top beer subscription firm are on the hunt for a Hopprentice… otherwise known as a beer reviewer.

Now, this job doesn’t appear to be paid, so we’d advise against quitting your current career.

But what you do get is beer. Lots of it, all for free, in return for giving your thoughts on each brew.

Flavourly are keen to find someone who is keen to give their expert opinion on all the new types of beer they’ll be bringing out in the year ahead.

The chosen Hopprentice will not only get free beers, but they’ll also be given cicerone training to ensure they know their stuff.

You don’t need any special qualifications for the role, but you do need to be based in the UK and over the age of 18 (obviously, as otherwise you wouldn’t be able to drink the beers you need to review).

To apply, you just need to write 250 words about your favourite beer. Flavourly note they are looking for ‘creativity’, so bear that in mind. It’s probably worth showing off your reviewing skills in this bit.

Sadly, the brand say they’re unable to send detailed feedback to every applicant, so you’ll only hear back if you’ve been shortlisted for the interview stage.

The listing is up now and will remain open until the end of the month (February 28).

Co-founder Asean Sheikh said Flavourly is after someone who can dedicate a few hours a month testing out new beers.

‘He hope to find someone who can help us describe these as you would when talking to a mate,’ he said.

If that sounds like you, get applying through the Flavourly website.
