All macaroni in the pot stirring stops with Cardi’s 2-year-old daughter, Kulture. The Bronx-bred rapper proved as much when she abruptly ended a lip-sync performance of her naughty-girl bop “WAP” on Instagram Live as soon as the toddler waddled into her room.
“No, no, no, no!” Cardi, 28, shouted before turning off the spicy single and taking a sip of wine.
Keyboard critics immediately chastised the hip-hop heavyweight, shaming her for shielding little Kulture from her tongue-in-cheek lyrics while subjecting other children to the highly acclaimed albeit hyper-sexualized hit.
“So ya daughter can’t listen to it but everybody else’s daughter can?” one Twitter user said Monday.
Cardi responded, “Ya needs to stop with this already! I’m not JoJo Siwa, I don’t make music for kids I make music for adults,” referring to the 17-year-old singer and “Dance Moms” star. “Parents are responsible on what their children listen too [sic] or see. I’m a very sexual person but not around my child just like every other parent should be.”
Calling out her haters for their apparent lack of “common sense,” the former stripper continued: “There’s moms who are strippers. Pop p – – – y, twerk all night for entertainment does that mean they do it around their kids ? No! Stop makin this a debate. It’s pretty much common sense.”
And while the rap queen wasn’t exactly soliciting parenting advice with her Instagram video on Monday, last week she did get some very needed tips regarding her planned New Year’s hangover.
“What do you guys recommend for hangovers?,” Cardi, 28, posted Dec. 30 to her 16 million Twitter followers with a pair of laughing and crying emojis. “I’m trying to see double on New Year’s Eve but I want to be good In the a.m.”
The cure that promptly erupted to the top of trending Twitter topics? Pedialyte, a nutritional supplement often chugged by babies.
“The fact that @iamcardib has Pedialyte trending is right on brand for 2020 LOL,” one amused fan quipped to the Grammy-winning mama.
