Ben & Jerry’s is selling a new range of ice creams just for dogs

Ben & Jerry’s has just created special ice cream – for dogs.

Doggie Desserts are made from sunflower butter so they’re safe for our four legged friends.

As pooches shouldn’t eat a load of dairy, it’s a better way to include them in ice cream night.

The Ben & Jerry’s website explains: “Yip yip hooray! Just when you thought we only made flavour fantasies come true for people, we've unleashed something truly cool for pooches, too!

“Inspired by our lovable muttley office crew of K9-to-5'ers, these just-for-dogs frozen treats are the most doggie-awesome desserts we ever packed in nifty mini-cups.

“Whether you're rewarding good pups or cooling off a yardful of party animals, we think they're just about the finest, K9-est frozen treats you can fetch for your 4-legged friends.”

The frozen treats come in two flavours – Pontch’s Mix and Rosie’s Batch.

While former contains peanut butter and pretzel swirls, the latter is packed with pumpkin and mini cookies.

Sounds almost tasty enough for humans to eat…

But I think we’ll stick to the Chunky Monkey and Phish Food flavours for now!

Will you be picking up the Doggie Desserts for your loyal companion?

They are currently being sold for $1.29 online, which is equivalent to around 95p.

According to Dog Tipper, you can make your own pooch-friendly ice cream at home if you want to instead.

All you’ll need is ripe bananas, plain yogurt and peanut butter.

Blend the ingredients together and leave in the freezer to set.

Or for more instant results, blend frozen banana with your peanut butter spread and you’re good to go!
