LeBron James warns NFL about Christmas games

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has a message for the NFL following Wednesday night’s narrow win over the Golden State Warriors.
James scored 31 points and dished out 10 assists, and Austin Reeves’ go-ahead lead helped the Lakers win 115-113. But as the NFL approaches the most exciting day of the NBA regular season, James has issued a warning to the league.

“I love the NFL. I love the NFL. But Christmas is our day,” he declared.
Last year, the NFL scheduled three games on Christmas Day because Christmas Day fell on a Monday. This year, two games are scheduled for Christmas. In 2022, the regular season will be played on Christmas Day.
NFL officials said last year that the league would not schedule any games on Christmas Day if it was not on its normally scheduled date.

“We see an opportunity with Thanksgiving and some of the audience that we continue to build there,” Hans Schroeder, NFL executive vice president of media distribution, told the Wall Street Journal at the time. “We think Christmas is now an opportunity as well, if the calendar allows it. opportunity because we know our fans will come together.”
Just four months later, the league had undergone a U-turn.
“The fans made their views clear,” Schroeder told the Wall Street Journal in March. “The need is great.”
The report pointed out that the NFL usually gives this day to the NBA and other programs, and even moves the old NFL championship game to Christmas if it is Christmas.
This year, NFL games can be watched on Netflix. When the ratings come out, everyone will know whether James’ statement is correct.
