Lawmakers from both parties ‘equally angry’ over government’s handling of drone sightings
A New Jersey congressman said he “can’t believe” how the government is wording its investigation into recent drone sightings in the northeastern United States.
State Rep. Paul Canitra joined “Fox News @ Nightly” Thursday to discuss bipartisan anger over the government’s handling of drone sightings.
“We are a polarized society, but I can tell you that when we were in New Jersey’s security building, ‘The Rock,’ we had a hundred state legislators from all political persuasions – the upper house, the lower house – every Individuals are equally outraged by the situation,” Canitra said.

The Federal Aviation Administration said earlier this month that the first drone sighting occurred in New Jersey on November 18, prompting the agency to issue two temporary flight restrictions.
Canitra said he learned during an intelligence briefing for state lawmakers on Wednesday that drone sightings had been confirmed “every night since then.”
In a Facebook post, Canitra said he implored the Department of Homeland Security to “take swift and decisive action” against the drones during the press conference, calling the situation “outrageous.”

The White House said Thursday that the investigation was in the beginning stages but so far had not uncovered any malicious or criminal intent or national security threat.
“If these were foreign adversaries that had these drones and we’ve been doing this for a month and we’re not doing nearly enough, I can’t believe our government would word it like this,” he said on “Fox News@ at night.

He said “these are not amateur drones” and that the military should have the technology needed to take high-quality photos.
