On Sunday, February 16, burning lava was seen flowing down the slopes of Mount Etna in the Sicily Mountains of Italy.
According to local media reports, the Italian Civil Protection Agency urged hundreds of curious explorers to stay away from lava flow areas due to safety concerns, and reported at least one rescue operation on Sunday.
