“let’s go! [I’m so] Excited. Thank goodness. “Obviously, that’s what I always wanted, and what my husband always wanted. We didn’t want to leave. He liked the ram, so we just pumped, one, we were here, two, and it ended.”
NFL quarterback Matthew, 37, was traded to the Rams in 2021 and signed an updated contract earlier this month to return to the upcoming season.
“Oh my god, I think I feel very unreal relief,” Kelly recalls the podcast host Lala Kent. “You know, you wake up every morning [and] There is a new title…Rumor [or] What is my husband going to trade? [or whether he’s] Keep it. I mean, every day is a little different. ”
She continued: “We have four girls, I would say if we didn’t have these four girls [then] Maybe the stress will be reduced a little bit, and I’ll think, “OK, anyway,’ but there are those little girls you have to try planning ahead.”
Kelly and Matthew have been married since April 2015 and share four daughters: twins Sawyer and Chandler, Hunter, 7, Hunter, 6, and Tyler, 4.
“In this case, you can’t really plan ahead,” Kelly noted. “That’s a lot of things that happen to people in the NFL, people don’t understand, for example, people are traded randomly,” he said. [or] The guys were cut and these families just need to move immediately, find schools, look for activities for their kids, find where to live and close to the facility, and also in a good area. ”
Matthew and the Rams reached a favorable one-year deal, and Kelly was “happy and relieved” that their family could stay in Angels.

Kelly has been Matthew’s biggest cheerleader since college – still enjoying watching him on the grill.

“It’s great. You’re watching him there, and he’s on that football field still I know,” Kelly said in an episode Friday. “They showed him his hud and I was like, ‘Wow, it was a handover. Super hot. Then, he went home after the game or after being this manly man in the locker room, he went back to the home of these four little girls and he was so gentle and sweet. It was really incredible to watch.”
She concluded: “I love him as a football player, but he was the biggest twist as a female dad, which is why he needs to cut it.”
