Katie Thurston “makes progress” after cancer lymph node biopsy

Earlier this week, Thurston announced she went to a doctor for a lymph node biopsy.
The process is to help diagnose the cancer and see if it has spread outside the primary tumor. According to the Cleveland Clinic, the information helps patients’ providers plan treatment.
“I still cried,” Thurston shared on her latest Instagram story when she recalled her appointment. “I don’t know why I’m even reluctant to try putting mascara today, but numbness is much better. All the music advice and advice you give is very helpful. …Getting ahead today.”
The reality star said she is also expected to have a CT scan and then consult the treatment plan later that day.
Earlier this month, Thurston first learned that she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Later, she shared the news with her social media followers in a candid post on Saturday, February 15.
