Kansas players share hate news after tough game

The disappointing season of Jayhawks, Kansas, continued to lose 78-73 to No. 10 Texas Tech on Saturday, but Zeke Mayo took a bigger blow on the court.

Mayo struggled during the game, getting a 7-1 game from the floor, which included a 5-5 clip from the 3-pointer.

After the game, Mayo blamed X for the loss.

“Today’s game was a very good college basketball game. We played a very good team and got beaten,” Self wrote. “Some of us have extraordinary personal games that we may not play to the standards they set for ourselves. But everyone on our team, including the coach, myself, has a better chance of impacting the game than anyone else.”

Self added: “I’m proud of it with these guys every day. Any criticism of the team should be directed at me. I’m the head coach.”

He completed his statement: “This is the most important period of the season, this is the time when we need to be better, but we still need to focus on basketball, not the absolutely zero merit thing that is said outside of basketball.”

Jayhawks (19-10, 10-8) ranked sixth in Big 12, so their general bid is sure to be in the air in the March Crazy Championship.
