Jonathan Owens kisses Simone Biles on the cheek before Bears vs. Lions game

Biles, 27, met Owens, 29, on the sideline at Chicago’s Soldier Field before the game Sunday afternoon and gave the Olympic gymnast a peck on the cheek.

Biles showed up in a comfortable and chic outfit to watch her husband’s NFL team take on the Detroit Lions. She wore a black down jacket paired with a plush bucket hat from Prada.

For added glamour, Biles had her hair braided.

The gymnast and Owens, who have been married since April 2023, have often supported each other’s careers. For her part, Byers was a regular at NFL games in Irvine, and they often kissed before kickoffs.

Owens also loved cheering Biles on at gymnastics meets and even got special permission to skip a few days of the Bears’ training camp to watch her compete at the Paris Olympics last summer.

“You don’t have to do a lot of power just because you don’t want to put extra pressure on anybody,” Owens said exclusively. US Weekly July. “I just told her, ‘Go do your thing, baby.’ … As long as she’s there, she’s on the court, give her a kiss and we can move on.”

He continued at the time: “Whenever you focus on just one person, you get a different type of attention. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with being single, but for me, knowing myself, from that point on I Behaving much better [meeting Simone]I just focus and lock in and you come home and talk about my day and play with the dog, you know what I mean? That’s our thing.

Owens has come a long way, and he initially didn’t even recognize Biles when they met on the dating app Raya in 2020.

“[I] once in [Raya] She suddenly showed up a few days later. I was like, ‘Let me see who this is,'” the NFL safety recalled during a December 2023 episode of “The Pivot” podcast. “I’d never really paid much attention to gymnastics, so it piqued my curiosity. [and I was like]’Let me see what happened.

When they first met, Owens played for the Houston Texans, who were based near Biles’ gymnastics training facility. After Byers and Owens got married last year, they began building their dream home in the Lone Star State.

“At this point, we’ve been waiting a long time to build it, and we’re just going to wait until it’s built [NFL] It’s move-in season,” Byers told us last month. “Right now, they’re doing all the backyard stuff. Jonathan wanted a half-basketball court, a barbecue pit, all that good stuff. We did put in an in-ground bouncer and a swimming pool.

Byers continued, “We should be closing soon. I’ll check again in two weeks to see where we are, but we’re actually almost there.
