John Daly said it’s OK to do something. But there are only some.

He gets anxious when golf exercises go beyond that.

“I think the hardcore working out will hurt these guys, and they won’t play when they’re 55 and 60,” the two-time major champion said.

Daly talks about the latest episode of the “Like Farmers” podcast, where you can listen to it in full – his idea is what happened after discussing Tiger Woods, which is usually in the modern world Golf courses are known for their universal strength and fitness training. Daly said he believes that excessiveness can get in the way of someone and that you don’t have to work hard to play golf.

Yes, he knows what you are thinking – he says he is not using his mind as an excuse to not train himself.

Daly said in the podcast: “I think it’s working out, I think a lot of people are losing flexibility, and a lot of people are mechanical, they don’t have a lot of them. It means their bodies don’t have the ability to bring the club back as much as possible or not Luckily as flexible as possible, but they work in the game and make their swings exactly the way they want them to, but I think I did, and the exercise hurts a lot of these guys.”

Does what Daly said make sense? Some. In short, excessive gyms can hurt. Any fitness coach will tell you. What one person is useful to one person does not necessarily suit another. However, with proper guidance, the right scientific training shows that rewards such as distance, flexibility and endurance can be provided, and safety can be provided. There is more than the bench.

Of course, some people can survive without much training. On the podcast, host Pat Spinosa asked Daly what the exercise style looked like.

He said, short game.

“My only practice wedges, chips, and putters,” Daly said on the podcast. “I can do it all day; that’s what I do. You know, people say I don’t have a lot of practice, but they don’t know . When I go to a tournament, if you’re not ready, you don’t have to practice too much – you should go basically to warm up, and a lot of the time, I don’t even play ball; I just go to putting green and hit a few chips Then go. But that’s my mindset.

“And when I’m out on the tour, you have to understand, playing with these guys, like, hey, you know, let’s go out for a meal, we have a few drinks, we play golf, practice a little bit, we can start drinking. That’s how I play golf when I go on the court until 96, 7, 8, whenever the tiger comes out and starts working out. Well, yes, it’s too late for me. Mr. Olympia, I’m going to do it What, bulk, what does it look like? Hell no, I don’t want to do that.”

He said on the podcast, what he would do.

Go back to that short game idea.

“Yes, they hit a mile,” Daly said on the podcast. “But what I’ve seen is that these kids would rather go to the driving range and see if they can play 350, but that’s great, but can you chip and putt? When I retire from this game – Hope me Long enough life – man, I would love to help these kids with short races. Because I feel like I am mine – I know something about it and can also use it for mechanics work. That would be what I can really give back Game stuff.

“Especially – it’s harder for amateurs unless they are beginners, but if you set up amateurs on your own, you can teach them something, but for me more or less, I want Teach professionals and help professionals. Transparent
