“Taylor Swift is my top artist,” Fallon, 50, said exclusively us weekly Friday, December 13, at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball. I’ve been a fan of hers since day one. I love her.
In addition to Swift, 35, Fallon revealed that his other top artists this year are chapel roan and carpenters. Although he clarified that he did not mean Sabrina CarpenterFallon quipped that his love for the beloved ’70s band shows his age.
“I mean, I take real curves on my playlist,” Fallon said at the event at Madison Square Garden in New York City. “I also let my girls use my Spotify so you can see where dad joins in. Then the Beatles, then Paul McCartney and John Lennon. But it’s a good combination, and an honest one. I didn’t make it up.
Swift is Spotify’s most-streamed global artist of the year and has the most-streamed album of the year tortured poets department. This is the second year in a row that Swift has won the title of top streaming artist. Swift was also named the top artist of 2024 by Apple Music; TTPD won best album. She received the same accolades from Amazon Music.
When Fallon isn’t listening to Swift’s records, you can find him celebrating the success of his holiday songs. Fallon and the Jonas Brothers’ “Holiday” recently topped the Billboard charts.

“I never thought this would happen. I wanted to write a comedy album and I just wanted to make people laugh,” Fallon told us. “I grew up hearing “Weird Al” Yankovic and Ph.D. Demento and all weird comedy songs, so I wanted to make an album and right now I’m just thinking about all the little kids listening to how much fun you can have and be weird and be creative and write stuff, but don’t write anything human thoughts.
Fallon notes that his lyrics come entirely from his head—no technical help required. “Artificial intelligence can’t write this, I’m telling you,” he quipped. “This is so weird. In fact, artificial intelligence will tell you not to write this. That’s something I’m proud of. I did spend a lot of time and effort on this, and I’m very proud of it. Thanks to everyone who listened I’m very, very grateful to the people who live it.
