Janine Stone share a few of her favourite things

Favourite new project
One of the most exciting projects we’ve recently worked on is a 30,000 sq. ft. private residence on the Wentworth Estate, featuring a subterranean spa that is a true showcase of materiality and craftsmanship. Whilst you’ll often see design that plays with colour to create visual interest, our approach with this private wellness space was to focus on materiality—harnessing the depth and texture of travertine to bring richness to it. We explored different stone cuts and finishes, from honed and sandblasted surfaces that catch the light in subtle ways to precision-cut details that clean, crafted sense of luxury. Every element was carefully considered to create a refined and tranquil atmosphere.
Favourite source of inspiration
Our inspiration always begins with our clients—how they live, their tastes, and the atmosphere they want to create. Each project is a one-off, shaped by their unique preferences, whether it’s a passion for art, a distinctive fashion sense, or a deep appreciation for craftsmanship. There is no singular Janine Stone aesthetic; our designs are entirely personal, reflecting the lifestyle and individuality of those we work with.
Favourite space in your own home
The library—it’s a sanctuary away from the bustle of everyday life. A beautifully designed space should evoke a feeling, and for me, the library offers a sense of calm, warmth, and quiet indulgence.
Favourite place to shop for homewares
We source from a network of specialist artisans and antique dealers across Europe, but if I had to pick one place, it would be the galleries at Pimlico Road—always a source of inspiration and rare finds.
