Jayden Daniels’ mom reveals why Commanders rookie is still single heading into NFC Championship Game

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels will soon take the field for the biggest game of his football career.

Daniels scored two touchdowns in last week’s win over the top-seeded Detroit Lions, helping Washington pull off an upset victory and advance to the NFC Championship Game for the first time in more than three decades.

Many players from the Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles will likely have the full support of their significant other in Sunday’s big game. But don’t expect girlfriends to be in the stands cheering Daniels on, according to his mother.

The young signal-caller and Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate’s mother, Regina Jackson, recently said her son is not dating anyone.

Jackson shared some of her concerns about her son as the Heisman Trophy winner has a stellar rookie season and continues to rise to stardom in the NFL.

Former Eagles running back and Fox Sports co-host LeSean McCoy apparently agreed, saying, “Sounds just like my mom, haha, moms know that.”

Daniels didn’t seem shocked by Jackson’s comments

“I bet she said something like that,” the former LSU star said with a laugh. This isn’t the first time Daniels has spoken about his mother’s efforts to ensure her son has a trustworthy community around him.

The Eagles will welcome the Washington Commanders on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET.
