Tiger Woods finally makes his TGL debut on Tuesday night at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, when his Jupiter Links Golf Club takes on the Los Angeles Golf Club.
As expected, the 15-time Grand Slam champion and TGL co-founder made a memorable appearance that would make The Undertaker proud, and made a fitting, albeit predictable, decision to exit the song.
However, Woods’ arrival did not impress everyone. His 15-year-old son told ESPN’s Marty Smith that his admission score was a 4 out of 10 because his father was “so clumsy.”
The crowds are huge!
Charlie lent a helping hand to Tiger during warm-ups and helped his father learn about TGL’s innovative greens.
When the legendary golfer hit his wedge over the green and into the water on the second hole, Tiger could have dialed in the wedge with Charlie’s help, prompting a humorous reaction from Charlie in the crowd.
Tiger and Jupiter Links Golf Club didn’t get off to a great start in their first league outing.
Woods hit the hammer on the first hole, but they failed to capitalize.
LAGC quickly took a 3-0 lead through three holes after the Hammer won on hole 3. The stroke caused the team to lose the third hole in a straight hole and lose 5-0.
Tiger stopped the bleeding with a putt on No. 5, shaking off the simulator jitters (just kidding), and then gave Jupiter his first point with a wedge on No. 6.
Electric entry, humorous Charlie cameo, inflatable wedges and clutch pusher.
Tiger had it all right from the start of his TGL debut, which is exactly what the league needed.
