It is believed that the pilot was arrested at Logan Airport

Officials said a wanted JetBlue pilot was arrested last month at Logan Airport in Boston and shot himself in the parking lot of MBTA station on Friday morning.

According to a state police spokesman, the Massachusetts Police Department’s Violent Fugitive Arrest Department is in a parking car at his Wonderland Station garage in Revere, a state police department spokesman said.

When soldiers approached him, state police said Gudoff pulled out his gun and “suddenly shot.”

The soldiers entered Gudoff’s vehicle and provided assistance before he was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead.

“Previous of the official identification of the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office, state police believed that the individual’s identity was Jeremy Gudorf,” the spokesperson added.

Authorities said Gudov was caught at all times before flying to Paris on the evening of February 20. Later, his fugitive on judicial charges were arraigned in East Boston District Court.

Suffolk Assistant District Attorney Kyle Neyman said during the arraignment that Gudorf was wanted in Huntersville, North Carolina on charges related to sexual exploitation of minors.

State police said the U.S. Customs and Border Protection learned of the warrant for Gudorf’s arrest, while conducting a standard review of the list of Boston-Paris planes and requesting help from soldiers assigned to the airport.

“He is a commercial pilot, and the arrest warrant is apparently from North Carolina, and he lives in Ohio. So for these reasons, we ask him to be released on bail and hand over his passport,” Neyman told the court.

A JetBlue spokesman said in a statement provided to Boston 25 News after his arrest that Gudorf was placed on “indefinite leave.”

“We realized and closely examined a pilot who arrested one of our pilots while working at the Logan Airport in Boston because of an excellent arrest warrant,” the spokesperson said. “The pilots have been on indefinite leave as law enforcement officers proceeded with this.”

The Huntersville Police Department said it investigated Gudorf in October 2024 after obtaining tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

During the investigation, the police department said detectives obtained a search warrant for Google, thus determining the source of the reported sexual exploitation images.

“At the time of the crime, records indicate that he lives in Huntersville, North Carolina. However, during the investigation, he moved to the state before being identified as a suspect,” the police department said in a statement.

Gudoff was allowed to hide his face in court during the arraignment and was ordered on $10,000 bail under conditions of reporting to North Carolina immediately within a week after he appeared in court.

Friday’s incident is still under investigation.
