Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu supports Trump’s Middle East transfer
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Washington this week to meet with President Donald Trump and other U.S. officials to discuss the evolving relationship between the two countries. The visit marks a major shift in U.S. relations with Israel as the new administration quickly implements policies that benefit Israel’s interests in the Middle East.
Netanyahu praised Trump’s leadership and its impact on the American satellite alliance in an interview with Mark Levin, host of “Life, Liberty & Levin” aired Saturday night.
“I think President Trump is Israel’s greatest friend ever at the White House,” Netanyahu said. “Not only did he make a huge change in the Israeli-American coalition, he could strengthen what we’ve seen so far Everything, and he is also a great leader in America and the world.”
Since returning to the office less than a month ago, President Trump has made some high-profile moves that have impacted Israel and the Middle East. Before the inauguration, Trump issued a stern warning to Hamas, threatening to “all hell” if the hostages were not released in Gaza. Not long after, an agreement was carried out with the assistance of the Biden administration.

One of the most eye-catching policy shifts was the delivery of Trump lifting a 2,000-pound bomb to Israel in late January. The Biden administration has previously suspended shipments over concerns about casualties among civilians in Gaza. Netanyahu described Trump’s decision to lift the pause as “instantaneous”.
“In the first two weeks, he did everything he promised to do,” Netanyahu said. “He opposed anti-Semitism and the International Criminal Court. This corrupt so-called International Court is targeting the United States, with Israel as Goal, with democracy as the goal.”

Earlier this week, President Trump signed an executive order to impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC) investigation into Israel. The International Criminal Court has issued a warrant for Netanyahu, accusing him of committing war crimes in Israel’s military response in Gaza following the 2023 Hamas attack. Neither the United States nor Israel recognize the authority of the International Criminal Court.

The conflict has killed tens of thousands of Palestinians, and much of the Gaza Strip has been severely damaged or destroyed.
Trump also faces criticism from some Democrats about plans to rebuild Gaza. In a joint press conference with Netanyahu on Tuesday, Trump outlined an ambitious proposal.
“The United States will take over the Gaza Strip and we will work with it,” Trump said. “We will own it and be responsible for removing all the dangerous, undeveloped bombs and other weapons on the site, leveling the site and getting rid of being destroyed,” Trump said. The buildings, arranged in a row, create an economic development to provide an unlimited number of people in the region’s work and housing.”
Netanyahu expressed support for the plan and stressed Israel’s commitment to working closely with the United States in future Middle East policies.

“Israel has no better friend than the United States,” Netanyahu said. “Now, under President Trump, the United States has no greater friend than Israel.”
“It’s a great start, a fresh start, a recalibration of our great league.”
