Indiana parents arrested after zipping their 10-year-old son, telling siblings to beat him

An Indiana couple was accused of “nutritional” neglecting their 10-year-old son, shrank his head with a postal ty and covered it with a towel so he could not watch TV and tell his siblings to beat him.

Melody Rose Greenwood, 38, and Adam Jon Greenwood, 36, each face preliminary charges that are ignored by raising people.

Muncie Star Press said the abuse was discovered when the “extremely thin” child was taken to Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital for examination.

The alleged abuse has been reported to the police.

Muncie Star Press reports.

The boy was forced to lean against the wall for up to 12 hours a day, sometimes with a towel on his head to prevent him from watching TV.

He said his siblings were told to “beat him” if he spoke or walked away from the wall.

The child also said his mother used a zipper tie to restrain him, and the boy reported suffering due to the tightness of the zipper. He said his mother tied her hands behind her back one night while she was preparing to go to bed and was instructed to leave them in bed all night.

“The scars and marks on the wrist” seemed to be “consistent with the constraints,” an official said.

Two of the older siblings are allegedly the primary source of education for other children, and homeschool reports are limited to reading only three chapters of one book a day when parents are at work.
