Ice leads massive immigration operations, occupying nearly 650 illegal foreigners in Texas

Multiple agencies in the Houston area this month, a week-long crackdown on immigration led to the arrest of 646 illegal foreigners, including 543 criminal foreigners and seven recorded gang members.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operates in the Houston area from February 23 to March 2 to enhance public safety, national security and border security.
ICE and its partners have executed 71 criminal warrants and arrested 543 non-documented foreigners who have committed criminal or convicted in the United States.
Of the arrested foreigners of crimes, 140 have been charged or found guilty of serious felony or violent crimes such as homicide, aggravated assault or domestic violence.

Another 34 foreigners who committed crimes were charged or convicted of sexual offences or child sexual offences, such as sexual assault on minors, possession of child pornography or rape.
The ICE noted that 38 criminal foreigners arrested were convicted of illegal firearms, such as illegal carrying of firearms, possessing firearms, and aggravated attacks by firearms, while another 52 were charged or committed crimes or criminals with crimes of drug trafficking or criminal ownership.

Fifty-one criminal foreigners were charged with property crimes, of which 93 were charged with driving while drunk or convicted.

Chad Plantz, the Houston Special Agent for the ICE Homeland Security Investigation (HSI), also said the collective efforts have made the Houston community safer and strengthened the country’s national security and border security.
