Greek Foreign Minister: Europe should lead Ukraine’s security assurance

Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis told Fox News Digital in an interview that he believes Europe should take Ukraine’s security guarantee as the leader.
Geralputshire, who met with the U.S. in the United States, said the most important business was to “stop hostilities.”
“The next day, considerations will be provided for reconstruction and security assurance,” he said.
“We are neighbors and we have to take responsibility for these responsibilities,” Gerapetris continued. “We need to back up from the United States, it’s important to keep the United States, but of course, Europe should have a major interest.”

The interview was held on Friday, just a grumpy temper at the Oval Office, and the peace talks suddenly ceased when President Volodymyr Zelenskyy repeatedly raised the need to provide Ukrainian security assurances to the United States to stop future Russian attacks.

But Trump officials told Zelenskyy to read between the two lines on the proposed mineral agreement: If the United States has a major financial interest in Ukraine, it will not allow war with Russia to threaten them.
Zelenskyy was escorted out of the White House after arguing with Trump and Vice President JD Vance, he said he was still willing to sign a mineral deal on Sunday.
Gerapetris boasted that Greece increased its defense spending to 3% of GDP, surpassing NATO’s 2% target.
“We urge all allies to increase their spending,” he said. “We need to go into the collective defense of Europe.”
But Greece owned oil tankers have been a key driver of Russian oil trade. The Kiev Economics Institute has identified 126 ships that originated from Greek owners, now Russia’s “shadow fleet” that exports oil and hides in Western sanctions.

Gerapetris said Greece is working with other parts of the EU to resolve the issue.
“We have imposed not only the sanctions imposed by the EU, but also [our own] National sanctions. We have a very strict monitoring mechanism. The truth is, we need to bridge any gaps about potential bypasses…We are working with allies within the EU. ”
Amid the increasingly hostile discourse between the United States and Europe, Geriatrics plans to use his visit to patch the Transatlantic Alliance.
“It’s important that transatlantic relations remain unchanged. Stay strong. United, we do have more leverage and actually deal with multiple crises, which is the new normality. So we have to be united.”
Ukraine’s first choice for meeting with Rubio (Gerapetritidis) on Friday, although the foreign minister plans to discuss many security issues.

One topic expected to be to thwart China’s influence, while Otolitis boasts about doing so with a new alliance with India.
New Delhi hopes to reach the European market by establishing a corridor that travels through Greece to fight the Piraeus port, which China uses through Greece as a gateway to Europe.
“I think this major plan is a good project,” he said. “To diversify the pathways about transportation, energy-related data,” he said. “We make a lot of sense to the United States in terms of foreign and security policies.”
In Syria, like Greece, home to many Orthodox Christians, head inflammation remains skeptical of the new government, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, and said that if the management entity returns its terrorism dynamics, sanctions should be lifted slowly and able to restore it to its original state.

“We suggest that we need to release these sanctions. But this should mainly happen gradually. We need to see how things are going. ”
Geraputyan said he will also discuss Iran with Rubio.
“Iran and its agents operate in a wider region. We operate the Houthi in the Red Sea. This is a serious danger to maritime security. We are very concerned about maritime security around the world.”
