Aliaga refers to the analogy that Fed Chairman Jerome Powell once used, which is “the fog of driving uncertainty.” “[The Fed] Knowing the road they are on the road, they know their direction – it’s a good road. This is one of the things that the economy is still growing, or may be slightly higher than its trend GDP growth rate, with inflation falling. But there is a fog of uncertainty. What are you doing in the fog? You slow down a little. That’s what the Fed is doing. They may be put on hold until summer at least. For investors, we must decide how to be in the fog because there is upside and there is downside risk. “Aliaga explained. “I think the way investors are positioned is very noteworthy. This tends to be diverse, check the headlights, check the brakes during storms. How do you get protected or possibly benefit from the way the chips fall? ”
