New York doll singer David Johansen suffers from stage 4 cancer, brain tumor seeks help from fans as daughter
The iconic punk group singer New York Doll has been secretly battling stage 4 cancer for the past few years.
David Johansen’s decade-old wife, Mara Hennessey, told Fox News Digital about his diagnosis.
“David has been suffering from stage 4 cancer for several years. He has undergone chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy and surgery and weathered all the side effects and consequences of various therapies with his unfulfilled spirit and unparalleled sense of humor.

“The love of his wife and daughter raised him while trying to get rid of his friends, colleagues and fans and keep them private. He has always been like that.”

Johnson’s daughter, Leah Hennessey, went to Instagram on Monday to share sad news.

According to Leah, things got worse during Thanksgiving.
