The suicide death of a young girl is being investigated by school police because her mother said she was bullied by other students who insulted her, claiming that her family was illegal in the United States.

According to data from online itu sue, eleven-year-old Jocelynn Rojo Carranza died on February 8 after her mother found out that she was not responsive at her home in Gainesville, Texas for five days. Her funeral took place Wednesday morning.

“I’ve been waiting for a miracle all week – waiting for my daughter to get better,” her mother, Marbella Carranza, told CNN affiliate Kuvn. “But Unfortunately, there is nothing to do.”

Carranza told Kuhn that Joslin was bullied and ridiculed for his family’s immigration status.

“They intend to call the immigrants so they can take her parents away and she will be alone,” Karranza said. She did not address the family’s immigration status in an interview with Kuvn.

According to Kuvn, Jocelynn attended Gainesville Intermediate School.

Carranza claimed that her daughter’s school was aware of the alleged bullying but did not tell her that she was only informed that her daughter was consulted at the school when investigators told her. CNN has contacted the school for comment.

“It seems that the school has realized it all, but they never told me what happened to my daughter,” Carranza said. “It seems that she will go to a consultation once or twice a week to report what happened.”

She added: “(I want) justice because it’s unfair – the school is careless and careless when it doesn’t let me know about my daughter’s situation.”

Gainesville police said in a statement that an investigation is underway referring to the appeals to Gainesville Independent School District police, who is investigating allegations of bullying.

The Gainesville Independent School District has not acknowledged whether it is aware of the bullying reports on Jocelyn.

“Whenever we receive a report of bullying, we respond quickly to ensure that all students are physically and emotionally safe. Although we cannot publish anything about a specific student or event, our school has several policies. to combat bullying and resolve conflicts,” the region said in a statement.

Another school in the area called the incident a “serious accident” in an email to parents who did not address the bullying charges.

Carranza describes the day she found her daughter in Kuvn on February 3.

“When I got home, they were still working for her, trying to revive her, and she had no life for a long time,” she said.

Family and friends mourn Jocelynn’s death

Hundreds of friends and family (including many children) crowded St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Wednesday to attend Jocelynn’s funeral. A group of mourners wore white sweatshirts with pictures of young girls printed on them, while others wore soft shades of blue, lavender or pink to her honor.

During her service, her loved ones can be heard crying as a mariachi band on the church balcony. In the same church where Jocelynn was baptized 11 years ago, her coffin was laid on white cloth with a crucifix on it.

Karanza said Joslin told her every day that she loved her.

“I like her very much because she is a very happy girl, she is a happy girl,” she said.

Jocelynn is remembered as “a good daughter, sister, niece and friend” in the online idiot.

According to the Itu report, she played the horn, made Tiktok videos, swimd, made wheels, and watched a movie with her family on Friday night.

“When my grandmother took her to finish her nails, she loved her.”

This is a developing story that will be updated.
