Hamas leader Abdel Hadi al-Sabah killed in IDF targeted strike

A senior Hamas commander responsible for the heinous attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7 has been killed in a targeted drone strike, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced.

Abdul Hadi al-Sabah, who led the infiltration into Kibbutz Nir Oz and ravaged communities near the Gaza border on October 7, was killed at Camp Sihan Younis on Tuesday local time.

The Israel Defense Forces said in a press release posted on social media on Tuesday that they carried out the intelligence-based attack in conjunction with the Israel Security Agency (ISA).

The agencies said Sabah was hiding in a shelter in the designated humanitarian zone of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

The agencies noted that Sabah was one of the leaders who infiltrated Kibbutz Nir Oz during October 7 and was the leader of “multiple terrorist attacks against IDF troops.”

“The Israel Defense Forces and the International Security Agency will continue to fight against all terrorists involved in the October 7 massacre,” the agencies said.

The IDF said it took “numerous measures” to mitigate harm to civilians through the use of “precision munitions, intelligence and aerial surveillance.”
