The door is defective
On January 5, a door panel on an Alaska Airlines flight exploded at 16,000 feet, covering an additional emergency exit that could only be operated on the maximum passenger capacity aircraft. The incident quickly went viral on the Internet.
The plane was taking off from Portland, Oregon, when the panels caused the cabin to depressurize. The pilot returned the plane safely to Portland and no serious injuries were reported.

Video footage of the incident shows passengers sitting in panic as wind blew into the plane due to a missing door. The incident resulted in a lawsuit against the airline and new scrutiny of Boeing, the plane’s manufacturer.
“Boeing is responsible for what happened,” then-Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun said at the time. “Regardless of the specific cause of the accident, an incident like this should never happen on an aircraft leaving our facilities. We must do better. Our customers deserve better.”
The tragedy was caught on video

The plane was diverted to Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport in Texas after Keith Edward Faggiana punched the flight attendant multiple times. According to authorities, the incident began after another passenger complained that Faggiana kicked his chair.
After a flight attendant intervened, Faggiana allegedly became enraged and began punching the American employee in the stomach.

“My wife started hitting me and said, you know, let me pay attention to what’s going on,” Gallagher said. “There was a drinks cart between us and the accident.
