Genesis Invitational Golf Championship pays tribute to Tiger Woods’ late mother, Kultida Woods

As Tiger Woods continues to mourn Kultida Woods for the loss of her mother, Genesis invites organizers to reveal their plans to respect her.
The par 4 will be marked with a white flag without logo and wording, nodding to Wood’s late mother and her faith.
According to a social media post on the PGA Tour, Kultida Woods practiced Buddhism. Buddhists attach great importance to white and color No. 7.

White is believed to represent enlightenment, knowledge and purity. Kultida’s name is often shortened to Tida and was born in Thailand. The flag of her motherland has a white stripe, which is believed to symbolize Buddhist beliefs.

In social media posts earlier this month, Woods described his late mother as “her own natural force.”

“I want to share what I’m going to die this morning, Kultida Woods, said. “My mother herself is the power of nature, and her spirit is simply not Denied. She quickly smiled.”
The 2025 Genesis Invitational will be held Thursday at the Tori Pines Golf Course in San Diego. Woods recently announced that he would not be playing as he continues to deal with his mother’s death.

The 4-shot seventh hole on the route also represents a significant moment in Woods’ legendary career. In 2008, he won the Seventh Green Championship at the U.S. Open. After the 18-hole game, Woods defeated Rocco’s mediation by breaking the tie on the seventh hole.

Kultida meets the tiger’s father Earl in the Thai army. Kultida and Earl ended and moved to Brooklyn, New York. The couple later moved to Cypress, California, where tiger was born. Earl Woods died in California in 2006.
According to ESPN, Tiger’s real name is Eldrick, who is named after his mother and father. The name Eldrick ends with E Earl (E) in memory of Eeldrick and Kultida.
