Gal Gadot diagnosed with brain blood clots during pregnancy

“This year has been one of profound challenge and deep reflection, and I’ve been thinking about how, or even whether, to share personal stories,” Gadot, 39, wrote on Instagram on Sunday, December 29. My heart guides me.
“Maybe that’s how I process everything, pulling back the curtain on the fragile reality behind the carefully curated moments we share on social media,” she continued. “Most importantly, I hope that by sharing, I can raise awareness and support others who may be facing similar issues.”
Gadot shared that she was diagnosed with a “large blood clot” in her brain in February when she was in her eighth month of pregnancy.
“For weeks I suffered excruciating headaches and was bedridden until I finally got an MRI that revealed the horrific truth,” she wrote. “For a moment, my family and I Realizing how fragile life is is a stark reminder of how quickly everything can change, and in a tough year, I just want to hang on and live.
Gadot underwent “emergency surgery” within “hours” of being “rushed to the hospital.”

“Early detection is very important because it is treatable,” she concluded. “While rare, it is a possibility and knowing it exists is the first step to solving it. Sharing this is not to scare anyone, but to empower. If anyone feels empowered because of this story If you need to take action for your own health, then it’s worth sharing.
In addition to her post, Gadot also shared a photo of herself sitting in a hospital bed holding her newborn. (Gadot and Varsano married in 2008 and have Alma, 13, Maya, 7, and Daniela, 3.)
Gadot continued her message via her Instagram Stories, noting that childbirth is “a miracle” and “a testament to the strength and resilience of our bodies and spirits.” She added, “But it also demands a lot from us, reminding us to care for ourselves as much as we care for others.”
Gadot said that as she celebrates Hanukkah, she is reflecting on “the personal miracle that I have been given.”
“My daughter Ori is a constant reminder of resilience, hope and the strength within us,” she concluded. “My wish is that we all find our own light, experience our own miracles, and continue to advocate for our health and the health of each other.”
