The next day, Nicole clarified her statement.
“I have no ‘beef’ with anyone. I resent the idea of reducing the value of women to the value on a dinner plate,” she wrote. “This account was shared publicly on a podcast and it’s important to denounce it publicly. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to call the postman.
While Newton didn’t address Nicole directly, he did claim he was being unfairly “scrutinized” at the time.
“You cannot expect so much from a man and give so little. … In addition to what I have said and mentioned, I should also say that not only women should know when to be quiet, but men should also know when Stay quiet,” Newton said in the YouTube video. “Whatever you need to be as a person – a man or a woman – you should be that.
