The most-watched non-Fox News program on cable news in December was MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show,” which had 1.4 million viewers on Dec. 9 and finished at No. 401.
The most-watched CNN program was the December 9 edition of “CNN Newsroom,” which averaged 700,000 viewers and ranked 682nd among cable news programs.
Fox News often dominates cable news ratings, but sweeping the top 400 programs is seen as a unique milestone that shines a spotlight on MSNBC and CNN’s efforts to attract viewers following President-elect Donald Trump’s victory.
