Country star Colt Colt Ford shared that he and Jelly Roll were able to feel like being a “big guy”.
In a recent interview with people, Ford revealed that he and Jelly hang out in the backstage of one of the concerts for “Save Me” singers, discussing the complex feelings of trying to live a healthier lifestyle when it comes to weight.
“Jelly lost a lot of weight,” Ford told the media. “When you’re such a big guy, you start thinking, people love you, ‘What if I lose weight? Will they still be like me?’ I think, brother. Don’t care.”
Ford once weighed 340 pounds, his healthy journey is an autoimmune disease that causes muscle weakness to drop to 250 pounds after being diagnosed with muscle weakness in 2022.

Country star Colt Ford says he “dead twice” after a heart attack
After a near-fatal heart attack in April 2024, Ford promised to change his lifestyle, indicating that he has since given up on fried food and soda and started walking more.
“It’s much easier to eat,” he said. “But when I used to try to lose weight, when you’re as heavy as me… you feel like you’re working hard and still looking in the mirror, ‘It’s sucking. I’d rather go back arrive [fast-food chain] Zaxby’s. ‘”
Ford went on to share that he hadn’t had a sip of soda or any fried chicken since his health panic, explaining: “I’m eating healthier. It feels good to be able to tell people like Jelly.”
“When you’re a big guy like this, you start thinking about you, people love you, ‘What if I lose weight? Will they still be like me?”
Ford shared in a previous interview with People that he knew he had successfully given up on his fast food addiction when he was able to turn his wife’s proposal to go to the waffle house to celebrate his 55th birthday.

Jelly Roll shared his lifestyle in November 2024, and his lifestyle is healthier, and he has lost 110 pounds. He made his debut at the 2024 CMA Awards, where he walked the red carpet with his wife Bunnie Xo and his 15-year-old daughter Bailee Ann.
He details his process on his wife’s December 2024 episode of “Dumb Blonde”, explaining that he was doing “public playback” for some reason.
“I think people who have become as big as I do, when they lose weight, they feel ashamed,” he said. “They are so ham-shame that they go to hide and lose weight and then come back, they Don’t really know how to interact with the world, look different or feel different, you know? Find a brand new way to them.”

The “Church” singer also wants people to see his success in the music industry that doesn’t depend on his size, he said that despite “his weight, somehow managed to carry 550 pounds” he “successfully succeeded ”.
