With the New York Jets approaching the end of the 2024 season and his first full season under center, Aaron Rodgers doesn’t appear to have much behind him.

Former New York Jets star linebacker Bart Scott questioned Rodgers’ performance after the Jets lost 19-9 to the Los Angeles Rams. Rodgers passed for 256 yards and 1 touchdown.

The question stems from Rodgers trying to catch his 500th touchdown pass. Tom Brady joins him as the only players with at least 500 touchdown passes.

Rodgers said he expected Davante Adams to catch a potential touchdown pass in the third quarter. This ended a 13-game game that lasted nearly 10 minutes.

Scott wasn’t happy with the whole situation.

“Drove for 10 minutes and ended up with nothing,” Scott said on the postgame show in New York. “It’s because you want records, right? Sentimental records. And you’re deciding who gets your records. I think that’s – it’s despicable.”

Rogers issued a note to his teammates after the game.

“So, the reality is what it is, but your perspective is something you can change every day. So, what you focus on right now is the most important thing. It’s not about changing the reality — 4-11, missing the playoffs, making the playoffs. Unknown offseason.

Rodgers then talked about what the next two weeks mean for the future of the organization.
