Former Bond villain Robert Davi shares solutions to avoid franchise ‘wake-up’

Exclusive – Former Bond villain Robert Davi is concerned about the future of the 007 franchise, and it will leave the hand of the family dynasty even before the bombshell news.
For decades, James Bond’s franchise has been creatively controlled by the broccoli family, first of which is Albert Romolo Broccoli, nicknamed “Cubby” and co-producer Harry Saltzman. It then fell under the care of his daughter Barbara Broccoli and his stepson Michael G. Wilson.
But on Thursday, the entertainment industry was attracted by the news that they awarded Amazon MGM Studios. Now, Amazon MGM Studios, Wilson and Broccoli have formed a new joint venture to accommodate James Bond intellectual property. Variety shows that the three parties will remain co-owners of the iconic franchise, but Amazon MGM will have creative control.
Since Daniel Craig officially hangs his hat as his last movie No Time to Die to Die” has been chatting endlessly as the series will be in the next step What direction will be taken. There are rumors that there may even be women’s bonds or gay bonds for the next part.
Amazon’s “007” series in the midst of producer turmoil disagrees with the franchise: ‘I don’t think James Bond is a hero’

Davi, playing the role of Bond villain Franz Sanchez In the “Permission for Killing”, recalling a close relationship with “Cubby” and his wife Dana, and weighing the direction of the franchise in comments posted earlier on Amazon’s announcement, he admitted that he was worried that Bond might “wake”.
“I hope that’s not.” David, a blunt conservative, told Fox News Numbers. “You know, I’m very close to ‘cubby’ broccoli and his wife Dana and the legacy…and, as far as I’m concerned, they’re Ronald Reagan conservatives and great people. I think it would be a little scary if we succumb to every fashion, especially fashion that is not based on all science.”
A simple solution, David said, is to create a whole new character instead of completely changing the main fans to become men and women training 007.

“I think they should keep something, create a different character,” he continued. “Create a different character. Let someone – not Ian Fleming, let someone write a based on the current One day’s character and then separate it from Bond. But don’t try to reshape. Sometimes through different eyes.
David isn’t the only one in the Bond family to resist this potential change. In an interview with The Times, British actress Gemma Arterton avoided the idea of women 007.
Arterton played British Agent Strawberry Fields in the 2008 Bond movie “Quantum of Solace.” She said Hollywood should respect the legacy of the characters.
“Sometimes, you just need to respect tradition,” she said.
“Isn’t the woman James Bond played by men like Mary Poppins?” she wondered. “What they’re talking about is, but I think people will find it outrageous.”

New York Post writer Johnny Oleksinski responded to Amazon MGM Studios news on a blunt instrument, claiming it would be the “death” of the Bond brand.
He wrote: “Many of them are excellent, some are groping (cough, ‘solace’ cough), but all are done with care and consideration of the father’s legacy. This is over. ”
He suggested that Amazon will pull out as much content as possible to damage quality as it leaves the family business.
Fox News Digital has commented with Amazon MGM Studios.
Another former Bond actress Valerie Leon appeared in Bond movies Love My Spy and Never Say Again, along with Roger Moore and Sean Roger Moore and Sean Connery were frustrated by the news.
“I think it’s crazy, absolutely crazy,” Leon said in an interview on Friday.
She later pointed out: “I just-the bond franchise is very British and no longer.”
