Netflix CEO believes Taylor Swift can perform in Christmas NFL game

Can Taylor Swift Perform on the Super Bowl stage on Christmas Day? This may just be the goal of the CEO of Netflix Ted Sarandos.
“This is a good challenge!” Sarandos, 60, responded in an interview typepublished Wednesday, March 19, was asked when Swift performed in 2025.
Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs played the Pittsburgh Steelers in December 2024. Despite the comments from Sarandos, Swift reportedly did not compete, and the game aired on Netflix. (The Chiefs defeated the Steelers 29-10.)
While this year’s Christmas game is set for Netflix again, Sarandos has high hopes that streaming services can win the Super Bowl bid, too.
“It’s a tough economic model. They get a lot of money from the network,” he admitted. “But overall, [November 2024] Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fights and we are supporting Super Bowl-sized audiences. We can certainly support it technically. ”
However, he is not sure if there is exponential growth in real-time content.
“Currently, we have WWE live streaming every week. We have Christmas football live streaming. We have SAG awards every year,” Sarandos said. “We have a few more chili peppers every year. It will be a small part of the total viewing proportional to the budget, but they should all be overweight.”
