Federal judge temporarily blocks Trump administrator from firing 11 intelligence personnel assigned to DEI program

A federal judge temporarily blocked President Donald Trump’s administration from firing 11 CIA employees linked to the DEI program on Thursday.
U.S. District Judge Anthony Trenga’s order delayed the employee’s shooting for at least five days. Kevin Carroll, a former CIA official who represents the CIA employees, filed a lawsuit Monday, noting that the 11 officials are on temporary missions related to the DEI initiative and that none of them receive performance Poor review.
The order gives Trenga more time to weigh the legal arguments on both sides of the case than a clear ruling on the lawsuit.
“These people were fired just for assuming they were leftists,” Carroll said in a statement.

Shortly after Trump took office, the 11 officials were among 51 CIA employees who signed an executive leave to clear the DEI program in the federal government.
Carroll said the 51 officials were summoned to the agency’s high-security perimeter visitor center in Langley, Virginia, and possessed their identity badges to “occupy.”

Trump also tried to cut funding for federal programs that were inconsistent with administration priorities, thus furthering the legal battle.
