In the case of some of the least expected collabs, Bobby Shmurda has put his name in the running in hopes to connect with 30 singer, Adele.
The Brooklyn rapper recently took to Twitter to shoot his shot, proposing to Adele a potential collaboration. While he does not appear to be interested in Adele’s typical tear-jerker ballads, he seems to want to take the British singer out of her usual genre to deliver a track for the gentleman’s club. He takes to Twitter to write, “You Know what the world needs….#BobbyShmurda & #Adele to make a Strip Club Anthem.”
The Tweet from Shmurda arrives just a week after Adele has released 30, her fourth studio album and first project since 2015. In a previous interview with The Telegraph, Adele revealed that she played the album for Drake and added, “It’s always about how it makes me feel, quality control is my forté, and I can write a song about my own experiences and my own life. People certainly aren’t waiting for a club banger from me.” However, with this Tweet, it seems that Bobby Shmurda is willing to nudge Adele towards recording a potential “club banger.”
