A wildfire sweeping through Los Angeles’ Pacific Palisades neighborhood forced tens of thousands of people to evacuate as the blaze destroyed homes in the posh area, including those of celebrities.
The Palisades Fire, driven by strong Santa Ana winds, started in the Santa Monica Mountains on Tuesday morning and quickly consumed 200 acres within an hour, growing to nearly 3,000 acres by sunset, according to Fox Weather.
Orange County Fire Chief Brian Fennessy joined “Fox News @ Nightly” on Tuesday to give an update on how firefighters are battling the fast-moving flames, but said there’s nothing they can do to stop them, So crews are focusing on evacuating and rescuing anyone still in the area.
“Our main focus is keeping people, lives away from these fires,” Finnis said. “There’s not much we can do except keep people away from these fires and then try to attack them…Certainly in the Palisade, which is where it’s at today. story.”

Reality star Spencer Pratt and wife Heidi Montag, who they lost in the Palisades fire, started dating at The Hills, Pratt and Montag confirmed on their Snapchat accounts on Tuesday Got home.
In a series of videos, Platt shows how the fire quickly spread across the hillside toward their home.
“Well, this doesn’t look good,” Pratt said as he photographed the fire on the hill behind their home. “The first time I saw the flames coming. Oh, man. Well, I guess I’m going to pack my stuff.”
He later posted a video from his car, saying he was watching their home burn through security cameras.
Montag posted a video from a grocery store saying their home was indeed burned down but they were safe.

Actor Chris Pratt posted on X asking people to join him in praying for the “brave firefighters who sacrifice so much to save our homes and towns.”
“Jesus protected the lives of those who struggled with the flames and those who could not evacuate,” Platt wrote.

Actress Denise Crosby also posted on X that she, her husband and dog were safe, but she wasn’t sure if she had a house.
Crosby shared a video from the beach Tuesday night and followed up that post with a video from earlier in the day showing smoke billowing from an alley behind her home and near Sunset Boulevard.
Actor James Woods posted a series of videos on X showing his home and his neighbors’ homes being surrounded by smoke and flames. Woods said his family evacuated the area safely and praised first responders and community members for evacuating children from a nearby elementary school.
Woods wrote on No longer exists.
Professional dancer Derek Hough shared photos of the fire on his Instagram account and said he and his wife were preparing to evacuate with their pets.
“With winds reaching 100 miles per hour, we were packing up to evacuate with our five animals just in case,” Hof wrote. “Power lines were exploding all around us and the fire was spreading so quickly. “It’s terrible.”

Hough went on to post, thanking the firefighters for “risking everything to keep us safe” and saying he was sending his prayers and love to all firefighters and victims.
