U.S. President Donald Trump revoked Joe Biden’s security permit, forbidding his predecessor from accepting daily intelligence briefings as political revenge continues throughout Washington.
“Joe Biden doesn’t need to continue receiving classified information. So we immediately revoke Joe Biden’s security permit and stop his daily intelligence briefing,” Trump’s Truth Social on Friday It was written on the platform.
The president’s move is the return of Biden when he rattled Trump’s security permit after the January 6 attack on the Capitol: “He sets this precedent in 2021,” Trump Pu said.
The revocation is the latest in Trump’s retribution campaign, which began hours after the second sworn in. He has revoked security permits and protection details for his former national security adviser John Bolton, who has become his toughest critic.
He lifted protections from immunologist Anthony Fauci, who responded to the country’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the response of former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
Biden’s Secret Service protection remains.
Trump’s campaign promises to pursue the administration’s political enemies, and his vendetta extends to the intelligence community and law enforcement. Earlier this week, FBI agents sued the Trump administration to prevent it from publicly naming people involved in the investigation in an investigation to investigate the January 6, 2021 Capitol attack that attempted to overturn the outcome of the 2020 election.
“The great power of the state will never be persecuted by weapons to the political opponents again,” he said in his second inaugural speech.
On his first night in office, he signed an executive order for the government to “weaponize”, authorizing a comprehensive comment on U.S. intelligence and other agencies to correct “past misconduct” through “appropriate action.”
In order to cancel Biden’s cleanup, the 2024 report of the Justice Department’s special counsel Robert Hurs said Biden was “good intentions, elderly people, poor memory.”
“The HUR report shows that Biden suffered ‘bad memory and could not trust through sensitive information even in his’ Prime,” Trump said. “I will always protect our national security- Joe, you’re fired. Make America great again! ”
As a polite, the former president has traditionally continued to receive daily intelligence briefings, which may include confidential information.
Biden did not respond immediately.
