Dock residents’ anger behind plant linings is replaced by “prison style” fence

Residents of Albion Mill Apartments in Worcester were angry after the housing manager replaced the plant-lined walls with a “prison-style” fence to prevent boat residents from passing through the railings. The change is only after two complaints about the intrusion, but locals say it makes the picturesque Diglis Pier look like a construction site. Tony Wass, 67, a narrow boat owner, returned from the holiday and found that the decoration worth £1,000 was removed, calling the fence an “ugly belief”. The move has caused anger among apartment residents and boatmen, who are now facing long journeys. Firstport has not commented yet.
