Trump will reinstate service members who retired because they were not vaccinated against COVID-19

President Donald Trump will sign an executive order reinstating service members who were fired for refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the White House.

Those reinstated will be restored to their original rank and receive back pay and benefits.

A White House fact sheet shows that of the more than 8,000 service members who have been discharged due to COVID-19 vaccinations, only 43 have chosen to return to the military.
