Hollywood productions, events postponed due to Los Angeles fires

Production and industry events in Hollywood have been suspended due to ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles.
“Wildfires in multiple areas over the past two days have posed unprecedented risks to life and property while placing extreme demands on public safety personnel,” non-profit Film LA said in a production alert on Wednesday, January 8 wrote. “We express our deepest gratitude for the efforts of local firefighters, police officers and paramedics during this difficult time, and we advise the production community that the human resources typically available to support film production may not be available during local emergencies.”
The statement added, “The Los Angeles County Fire Department has been specifically directed to revoke all permits for filming in the communities of Altadena, La Crescenta, La Canada/Flintridge and unincorporated Pasadena. Other permits Revocation is also possible.
