Chiefs player Travis Kelce appears in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ trailer

Fans of “Happy Gilmore” got a Christmas gift after the trailer for “Happy Gilmore 2” was released.
For fans, a familiar face – Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce – appears in the trailer.
“Nice to see you back, Mr. Gilmore,” Kelce, dressed as a golf club employee, says in the trailer.

In August, Adam Sandler said during an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” that Kelce would appear in the film.
The sequel to “Happy Gilmore” will be released exclusively on Netflix in 2025.
Kelce is getting more involved in acting after landing his first major role in FX’s show “Grotesquerie,” which aired in September.

On the field, Kelce has taken a step back this season but still has a 14-1 record for the Chiefs.
Kelce started every game and had 89 catches for 739 yards and two touchdowns. Those totals are down slightly from his 93 catches, 984 yards and five touchdowns in last year’s regular season.
The Kelce-Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers will watch the NFL Christmas doubleheader on Netflix on Wednesday.

If the Chiefs win, they’ll earn the No. 1 seed in the AFC Champions League and the all-important bye week in the wild-card round of the NFL playoffs.
The Chiefs and Steelers play at 1 p.m. ET, and the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens play the second game of the doubleheader at 4:30 p.m.
