Bradley Beal’s agent responds to no-trade clause rumors amid Jimmy Butler saga
Bradley Beal’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, responded to no-trade clause rumors surrounding Beal and his status with the Suns.
he told republic of arizona, “The reports out there are all fabricated.” If Milwaukee, Denver, Miami or the Los Angeles Lakers become trade destinations, Beal will lift his no-trade clause.
“Brad’s full focus has been and still is getting his ankle healthy and helping the Suns turn things around,” Bartelstein said.
Regarding Beal’s no-trade clause, Bartelstein said it was something Beal “worked very hard to obtain and is of tremendous value.” Being a professional athlete brings all kinds of amazing blessings. However, the part that every player fears is not having control over their future when it comes to trades, so the fact that we can control that aspect of Brad’s career is extremely valuable and an asset that we can certainly have. “That being said, I never operate with absolutes, which means we never say there will never be a deal that you wouldn’t consider,” Bartelstein continued. “Like everyone in every aspect of life, you always keep an open mind, so if something comes up that you’re really excited about, you always have to think about those things.”
Bartelstein added, “Right now, there aren’t any trade conversations as his focus is once again on getting healthy and making it work in Phoenix.”
Meanwhile, a Jimmy Butler trade is looking closer. Why Bradley Beal isn’t involved is a mystery, as all signs point to the Suns.
Many insiders say it would take four or even five teams to complete a deal.
Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports Listed are some new teams that could facilitate a trade for Butler.
“There are rumors that the Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors will be involved as well, but it seems the momentum is toward getting it done as quickly as possible, maybe in the next few days,” Goodwill said. “Sources tell Yahoo Sports that Detroit and Charlotte could also serve as a facilitator for a big deal.”
