Victoria Beckham has come under fire by her own staff after it emerged she has given the top jobs within her company to Europeans instead of Brits.
The designer has allegedly handed a number of high profile jobs to French and Italian candidates – despite having been awarded an OBE in 2017 for her services to British fashion.
According to The Sun, the foreign appointments have left British employees disgruntled, with an insider claiming: “Loyal, hard-working Brits are pretty livid because they feel they’re being increasingly sidelined for snooty Europeans, who are being paid these enormous six-figure salaries.”
The 45-year-old former Spice Girl has appointed at least four Europeans to board-level jobs in just the last six months.
This week, she announced the appointment of Spanish chief financial officer Pablo Sande, with Frenchman Ralph Toledano set to step in as temporary chief executive.
Earlier this year, Victoria named French national Marie de Reynies as Managing Director for her brand, and she recently announced her new VBB cosmetics line will be launched in collaboration with French art director Ezra Petronio.
