Vanessa Feltz reveals devastation after fiancé’s brother Roy Ofoedu dies aged 47

Vanessa Feltz has shared her heartbreak after her fiancé’s younger brother, Roy Ofoedu, died at the age of just 47.

The radio host, 60, shared the sad news on Tuesday, as she revealed she is “truly heartbroken” by the loss before paying a tribute to her fiancé himself, Ben Ofoedu, 50, as she promised “my heart, my hand and my prayers in love”.

Ben’s little brother Roy sad passed away at the age of 47 on Friday, with the TalkTV host paying a heartfelt tribute to him on Tuesday morning.

Vanessa wrote on Instagram: "I am truly heartbroken at the tragic loss of Ben's beautiful brother, a gentle gentleman.”


Vanessa added: "Roy Ofoedu 12/03/75-16/09/22" before sharing a video her fiancé had posted.

His caption read: “My heart is broken baby bro. I love you so much and know we will see each other again. Rest in eternal peace. Roy Ofoedu, 12/03/75 -16/09/2022.”

Vanessa also commented on the post writing: “Darling Ben I am devastated at the tragically premature loss of your beloved brother. I love you too much to see you in such pain. You have my heart, my hand and my prayers my love.”

Following the news of Roy’s death, several famous faces rushed to pay their respects, including actress Danniella Westbrook who wrote: “So sorry for your loss my friend.”

S Club 7 ’s Jo O’Meara also shared her sympathies, adding: “I’m so sorry for your loss Ben! Sending so much love to you and your family.”

Similar sentiments were also echoed by radio presenter Nicki Chapman who said: “Ben, my goodness I am so so sorry. Sending you my love and a prayer. Condolences to your family.”

However in an expected twist, just as the world had sadly waved goodbye to Roy, Vanessa also revealed she had been able to welcome her fourth grandchild, as she described the entire experience as a “Whirlwind of emotions.”

In a video shared online, Vanessa discussed the “Circle of life” and how despite the loss of someone so dear, there was also joy to be found in the arrival of someone new.

Speaking directly to the camera, Vanessa explained: “Gosh, we’ve had such a whirlwind of a time in the last couple of days."

“In the space of about twelve hours, Ben lost his beautiful brother Roy at the age of just 47 and about 7 or 8 hours later, the beautiful Cecily Violet was born.

“So we have experienced the whole circle of life in less than 24 hours in our family.

“So we just wanted to say, hello, lots of love, and to anybody going through anything like this, we reach out and it really is an absolute whirlwind of emotions, and anyway we’re just clinging on to each other and taking tremendous joy from the baby.

“Lots of love to everybody."

She also captioned the post: “We have experienced the whole circle of life in one day. Reaching out to @bigbenofoedu and all those who have lost a loved one and everyone with a brand new addition to love. #loss #sorrow #shock #life #birth #babygirl.”
